How TOKI Started
TOKI began as a small internal project. A few years ago, our team was working across multiple countries — client calls, business trips, and everyday conversations where language barriers kept getting in the way.
We tried existing solutions, but none felt natural. Translation apps required constantly checking a phone, while many devices were bulky or awkward to use in real conversations.
So we decided to build our own solution.
Our team developed the software from scratch and partnered with a trusted audio manufacturer to create translation earbuds designed for real-time translation — directly in your ear, without interrupting the flow of conversation. Today TOKI supports 144 languages.
After multiple iterations and real-world testing, TOKI became something we genuinely wanted to use ourselves every day. Today TOKI is used by travelers, business owners, students, and expats in more than 40 countries around the world.
Not Just Hardware — A Platform
The TOKI app is developed entirely in-house by our team of mobile engineers. By building both the software and the device together, we’re able to deliver seamless real-time translation directly to your earbuds.
